About Claire
Hello, I'm Claire. I'm a qualified counsellor, trained in working with adults and young people.
Sometimes life can overwhelm us - whether it’s day-to-day pressures, challenges in relationships, trauma from past experiences, or persistent negative thoughts that leave you feeling stuck. You don’t have to work through everything alone.
I know starting therapy can feel uncomfortable. The fact that you’re here, considering getting help, already shows a great deal of courage.
I approach my work with warmth, empathy, and an open mind. I have lived AuDHD experience, and I enjoy working with both neurodivergent and neurotypical clients, meeting each person where they are.

Training & Experience
I'm a qualified therapeutic counsellor, trained in working with adults and young people (from aged 14 years). I hold a Level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice, as well as a Level 5 qualification in Working with Children and Young People. My training enables me to work with different therapy approaches - such as humanistic, CBT and psychodynamic. I work collaboratively with clients, where we decide together which therapeutic methods are the best fit for your needs, and adapt as we go if needed. Working in this transparent way not only allows us to shape your therapy in a way that works for you but also helps to empower you to find solutions that you can take forward.
Booking/Cancellations
An important factor in achieving what you want from therapy is finding a therapist you can trust and feel comfortable opening up to. With this in mind, I recommend we start with a free 15/20 minute chat so you can get a feel for whether you think we'd be a good fit. If you decide to go ahead, we can agree on a time for your first counselling session that works for us both. I ask for payment 48 hours before your session time to secure your appointment.
